So... I... sort of wrote a textbook.

It’s called Video Games and Cultural Dynamics: Technology, Society, and the Humanities. It’s all about how video games shape — and are shaped by — our culture, values, and identities.
I didn’t set out to write a textbook. There are plenty of books on video games out there — but finding one that approached them through a humanities lens was a real struggle. I couldn’t find what I needed for my students. So instead of adopting a textbook, I started writing my own course materials.
Somewhere around the 75% mark, I realized… this wasn’t just supplemental reading anymore. I had written an actual textbook! So I finished it. I formatted it. And now I'm deciding to share it in its entirety. It’s completely free to read and licensed with a Creative Commons license, because I believe education should be accessible to everyone.
I poured my heart into this. Feel free to share — and thank you to everyone who’s ever believed in me as an educator and creator. Thank YOU for supporting what I love to do!
