I Built a Chrome Extension That Adds Picture-in-Picture to Netflix
If you've ever tried to pop Netflix into a floating window while you work -- or just wanted to keep watching while switching tabs -- you've probably noticed that Netflix has no option to do so when on a PC or Mac. Most streaming services let you right-click a video and hit "Picture in Picture." Netflix removes that option entirely. So I built a Chrome extension for just this purpose!
Introducing Netflix PiP
Netflix PiP is a free Chrome extension that adds the Picture-in-Picture feature on Netflix. Once installed, you can float your show or movie in a small window that stays on top of everything else -- even when you switch apps or tabs.
How to Install It
Netflix PiP is now live on the Chrome Web Store.
Just click the link, hit Add to Chrome, and you're done. 🎉
How to Use It
Once installed, you have three ways to trigger Picture-in-Picture on Netflix:
